Harpers Ferry Canopy Tour General Info

The Zip Line Canopy Tour has 15 Adventure Events including 8 zip lines from 200 to 800 feet in length, 5 belayed ladder climbs, 3 sky bridges, 8 65-foot tree towers, and a 25 foot rappel from the final platform. The entire course is along the Potomac River with spectacular views of the Harpers Ferry Gap and Maryland Heights.

What to wear and bring
Closed toe shoes, comfortable clothes. For the Spring/Fall we suggest a jacket or coat, and thin knit hat. Layers are good becuase you can remove or add them as the weather changes.

Ages
Approximately 5 years old and older

Weight
Must be between 40 to 250 lbs.
Guests under 120lbs will tandem on several zips during the tour and will solo on the rest.

Trip format
Trips are run in a pod format with up to 8 guests and 2 guides per group. Larger groups will be staggered on 15 minute intervals.

Please allow 2-3 hours for the Zipline tour, with a half hour added before and after to get to the site in our River Riders Shuttle. These are only estimated times.

Reservations
Reservations may be made in advance online, or by phone.
Please call 304-535-2663 between 9 AM and 5 PM. Reservations must be confirmed with full payment at the time of reservation. (Group 30 days) by credit card, check, or money order. If space is available, reservations can be held on a credit card with less than 7 days notice.


Refunds & Cancellations
Due to the cost of processing reservations, $15 plus tax per person is non-refundable. You may receive a refund for the balance of your payment upon notification made at least 7 days prior to your trip date. (Group reservations 30 days.) NO REFUNDS on cancellations or no shows with less than 7 days notice (groups 30 days notice).


RainCheck Policy
The Harpers Ferry Canopy Tour operates rain or shine. Should thunder, lightning, or high winds cause a delay or removal from the tour, we encourage our guests to continue once the weather passes.If we are unable to continue, a voucher will be issued for a full tour to be completed at a later date. NO REFUNDS are issued for weather.

Warnings
The Harpers Ferry Canopy Tour is an active participation experience; guests will be required to stretch, ball up, climb ladders, grab rope, and cross bridges. Participants will land on and run up ramps at the end of each zipline sometimes at high speeds.  The tour may not be suitable for expectant mothers, or anyone with the following: heart conditions or abnormal blood pressure, back, neck, foot, ankle, or leg injuries, motion sickness or dizziness, recent surgery, or any other conditions that may be aggravated by the tour. Older riders may be at higher risk of injury due to the normal effects of aging.

• All guests should recognize that there are inherent risks on any trip or high adventure activity. River Riders and its affiliates assume no liability for personal injury or loss of personal property. Even if you heard about us outside of West Virginia we do not respond to outside jurisdictions.
• You will be required to sign a waiver electronically for each activity.
• Minors must also have this form signed by a parent or legal guardian.
• Drugs and alcoholic beverages are prohibited prior to and during the trip. If guests are intoxicated before their trip, we reserve the right to refuse service.
• If you have a medical condition you are concerned about, you should consult your physician before your trip.

Many organizations are exempt from sales tax. Outdoor recreation activities in West Virginia are taxable. If your organization is tax exempt, you can receive an exception from paying sales tax. Form WV/CST-280 (Adobe Acrobat)* must be properly completed and submitted to us ahead of time along with a valid Business Registration Certificate. (Any applicable user fees still apply regardless of exemption status.)
